Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar

Contemporary plays such as "Clockwork Orange" and "Love Letters" alternate with such classics as "A Midsummer Night's Dream" or, in the music section, with "Aida" or the "Magic Flute". There are performances almost every day at the German National Theatre in Weimar.

Weimar Christmas

A city decked out in Christmas finery welcomes visitors during the Advent season. The old town is transformed into a Christmas market illuminated by the glow of lights, with its stalls and mulled wine huts stretching from Marktplatz to Theaterplatz.

Reopening of the Park Cave

The Parkhöhle is an underground tunnel system in the Park an der Ilm, which was originally built at the end of the 18th century to house a brewery. Today, the twelve-metre-deep passages and tunnels allow visitors to wander through 200,000 years of earth and human history.

Easter Market

Eine weihnachtlich geschmückte Stadt empfängt die Besucher in der Adventszeit. Die Altstadt verwandelt sich in einen vom Lichterglanz erleuchteten Weihnachtsmarkt, dessen Stände und Glühweinhütten sich vom Marktplatz bis zum Theaterplatz erstrecken.

Köstritzer Spiegelzelt

The venue is the atmospheric mirror tent, reminiscent of the "Dans paleis" of the turn of the century in Belgium and the Netherlands. For almost seven weeks it will be the stage for famous artists and talented discoveries.

Summer theatre "The Robbers"

Onion Festival Zwiebelmarkt

For three days, Weimar is "on onions": on the cake, in the pan, in the braid and on the crown of the onion market queen. The traditional market hustle and bustle is dominated by the Heldrung onion farmers with their onion panicles, dried bouquets and onion decorations.
