How to get to the Onion Market
The best way to get to Weimar's Onion Fair (if you're not staying overnight) is by train: There are many additional trains going from Erfurt or Jena to Weimar on this weekend. Every 30 minutes trains leave from Erfurt or Jena in direction Weimar, from 10am to 7pm. Later the night the Deutsche Bahn offers hourly connections. Visitors coming from Apolda also use the regularly trains. Late at night trains leave to Apolda, Gera, Erfurt or Kranichfeld.

Weimar by Bus
Weimar has a very good public transport network. All routes cross the main bus station on Goetheplatz. Several routes travel from Goetheplatz to the main railway station. Electronic guidance systems list the departure times of all routes. You can reach all sights of Weimar by using the public transport system.
Bus tickets are available on Goetheplatz, at Weimar Tourist Information at Markt 10, and the main railway station (Weimar-Treff and the kiosk). Holders of a weimar card travel free.
Notice: during Onion Market the bus stops at Goetheplatz will closed.
