Bauhaus Latern Walk

You can learn interesting facts about the places of the early Bauhaus on an evening walk in Weimar. Guests of the lantern walk are led through the streets and the atmospheric Ilm Park to the former homes and studios of the masters with lights. You will learn historical and anecdotal facts about the beginnings of the Bauhaus. The lantern walk is modelled on the annual Bauhaus lantern festival.
The two-hour lantern walk starts at Theaterplatz. From there the walk leads to the former residential buildings of Gropius and Schlemmer, past the main building of the Bauhaus University Weimar to the Templar's House, through the park on the Ilm to Haus Am Horn, on to Klees, Ittens and Moholy-Nagys apartments. At the Sternbrücke the guides release their guests into the night.
The lantern walk was developed in 2009 by the team of Bauhaus walkers at the Bauhaus University Weimar.

The offer is not suitable for travellers with reduced mobility.
