St. Jacob's cemetery
Weimar's quarter of Jacob is home to the oldest resting place in the city, the Jakob's cemetry. As it was the only burial place in the city from 1530 to 1818, there are many important graves here. Among the famous personalities buried here are Lucas Cranach the Elder, Christian von Goethe and Johann C. A. Musäus.
