Theater im Gewölbe

The theatre in the vault oft he Cranach-House offers an art expirience under the beautiful arches of the oldest renaissance building combined with a private atmosphere and the view of the citymarket. Main theme of the events under the arches is the golden age of weimar with the most prestigious artists Goethe and Schiller. The performances offer various different viewpoints and considerations of Weimars golden history.

By the way, the well known painter Lucas Cranach was a relative of Goethe, on his mothers branch.
