Ice skating in the snow: A 510-square-metre ice rink in the heart of Weimar's old town - surrounded by a unique historical backdrop - offers residents and visitors to the city the chance to enjoy winter skating. From 28 November 2023 to 7 January 2024, young and old can skate their laps to lively music. Mulled wine huts and a variety of snack stands will cater for visitors. A good time is guaranteed.
Goethe, by the way, also enjoyed skating: The poet learned to skate at a young age and never gave it up in Weimar. In those days, people used to skate in what is now the Weimarhallenpark and throw real parties on the ice.

until 23 December: stalls until 7pm*.
from 26 December: stalls until 6pm*.
* Extension of opening hours until 10pm and Fridays, Saturdays until 11pm possible. Extended opening is at the discretion of the market traders.
