Wine from Weimar

Almost 50 hectares of vineyards are tended on the sunny slopes around the Poetenweg and in Schöndorf, north of Weimar.

 

Beer from Weimar

Weimar has 175 years of brewing history. Weimar’s beer is called Ehringsdorfer, named after an old quarter in the south of town.

Gin from Weimar

The recipe for the gin Johann Liqueur is based on an old Weimar liqueur recipe and Goethe’s own notes – a liquid tribute to the famous poet.

Biebereis

It all began in a communal kitchen, but now Felix Bieber runs an ice-cream factory and travels around on his “ice-cream bike”, selling his products in both summer and winter.
